How to use Snipping Tool to capture screen shots

(Windows 7 Ultimate): Snipping Tool is a great tool that can be used it for capturing Computer screen shots. To capture screen shots using Snipping Tool, follow the instructions given below:


1. Open your file (Example: Microsoft Word Document, Notepad text, Photo, Web page, etc) from your Desktop Computer or Laptop.

2. Click on Start Button from your Computer Taskbar at the left down corner.

3. Click All Programs.

4. Click Accessories

5. Click on Snipping Tool (Note: If you right click on Snipping Tool, you will get options like 'Pin to Taskbar', 'Pin to Start Menu' and 'Send to Desktop' (create shortcut).

6. Click on Snipping Tool.

7. Press Esc key from your Computer Keyboard.

8. Scroll down New drop down list.

9. Click on Full-screen Snip.

10. Click on File

11. Click on Save As... (Ctrl+S).

You can capture any of the following types of snips: 

Free-form Snip:  Draw a free-form shape around an object.

Rectangular Snip:  Drag the cursor around an object to form a rectangle.

Window Snip:  Select a window, such as a browser window or dialog box, that you want to capture.

Full-screen Snip:  Capture the entire screen.

Using Snipping Tool you can save file as PNG (Portable Network Graphic), GIF, JPEG and Single file HTML (MHT).
